PDWA – June 25th, 2024 – Lifted

Update June 28th

The Precautionary Boil Water Advisory has been lifted. Water consumption may resume as usual.

A huge thank you goes out to Fred and the team for making this happen in time for the long weekend!

Speaking of the long weekend, lets all have a safe and fun Canada Day weekend. Be sure to check out all of the events.  The Canada Day planning crew has been very busy making this event happen and what an event it will be.  There is something for everyone, and if you are hungry Mustard’s Last Stand has a grill so big that he should be able to fee the entire Village at once.  Pop on down for a treat.

Let us try to have a complaint free weekend, please due your part….

Be sure to keep your pets on leashes at all times,  and be sure to clean up after them as needed.

Friendly reminder about the rules regarding off road vehicles & Golf Carts – Drive safely, be mindful, follow the rules.

June 25th, 2024

As of 7:00 p.m. tonight (June 25, 2024) the Resort Village of Shields will be under a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory.

The neighbouring community with the line break was unable to repair the issue as quickly as we had hoped. Therefore, we must fill our reservoir, or we will be out of water.

We are no longer under a “conserve water” order. Water may be used again as needed, however, please bring all water to a rolling boil for 1 minute prior to consumption.  I have attached the official order to this email.

I will send out a second notice once the advisory has been lifted. Operations is working around the clock to do everything in their power to have the advisory lifted in time for the weekend.

Thank you for your cooperation and your patience as we navigate this situation.
