We have had quite a few questions regarding the Compost.
Council realizes that this is the time that most people are cleaning yards for the season, so they have decided to re-open the compost until May 24 (just after the May long weekend). We will be closing the compost after that time. The compost pile is currently located on Municipal Reserve land that is in the way of the construction that will take place to build-up the south road to the 211 highway, and so it can no longer be kept there. It will take some time for maintenance to disperse and dispose of the compost that is currently there, so please do not add to the compost after May 24th 2022. After May 24th please plan to dispose of your compost at the Dundurn transfer station. See hours here: https://www.dundurnrm.ca/p/transfer-station
You may have seen that garbage was not picked up yesterday as it should have been. Unfortunately, due to an error from Loraas we will be continuing with bi-weekly garbage pick-ups. We are currently working with Loraas to find a solution to this problem. More information will be provided as we have it, but for now please refer to the previous schedule for garbage pick-up. Recycle was this week, so Garbage will be next week.
Additionally, please see the attached meeting highlights from the April Council Meeting.
