Street Blading – Friday, Oct 4 – Shields, and other information

The operations team will be Grading Roads tomorrow, Friday, October 4, 2024 in preparation of freeze up, which unfortunately is right around the corner.

Please remove garbage and recycle bins, as well as vehicles from street surfaces so that we can ensure that we do an optimal job.  The more you help us with this, the better of job we can do.

Please look around your yard and ensure that, if need be, grass and weeds have been dealt with one last time before winter. If you received a reminder email from the office, please take action.

Friendly reminder – If you have a spot in the storage lot, it is your responsibility to keep your area cut. Please make sure your spot is in order,  before it is decorated with snow.

Docks should be dealt with accordingly as well. Please be sure to mark yours and be mindful of reserve land and property lines when storing for the winter.

If you are done with your cabin for the season, please let us know so we may collect your reader. The water will be off October 15.

One last heartfelt reminder from administration PLEASE be mindful of your pets. You may know your pet is not a threat to anyone, but those around you probably don’t. There is absolutely no reason for anyone’s children to be uncomfortable in their own communities, or anyone at all for that matter. The bylaw says that all pets must be on leash at all times. Please follow the rules for everyone’s sake, and always clean up after your pets.  We really shouldn’t need a judge or a day in court for us all to be good neighbours – after all, you just never know when you, yourself might need a helping hand from those same neighbours. Not feeling neighbourly? Commissionaires, bylaw enforcement, administration hours all cost money, and if costs go up, eventually taxes will as well. So please, take care of your pets!
