The 2021 Census is now available and indicates that Shields is in fact a growing
community with the population rate increasing to 351 residents. This is a growth
rate of 21.9% in the 5-year period from 2016 to 2021. Growth is expected to
continue as new homes are coming up either as infills, or in SunTerra or South
Mawson Subdivisions. We welcome all newcomers to our community.
