We have exciting news! On March 7, 2024, the Resort Village of Shields will be hosting an ice Fishing Derby on Blackstrap Lake.
The event will start at 9:00 a.m. in the Resort Village of Shields Community Center, with registration and a breakfast; the Derby will run from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. There will be cash prizes awarded (50% of registration fee) distributed between the following categories: 1st , 2nd , 3rd largest and smallest fish. The event is a great fundraiser for the community! Proceeds go towards Parks, Culture and recreation.
