Lower Pressure Sewer Extension Project Update as of Sept 10

Please Be Advised

The engineering work for the Shields Low Pressure Sewer Extension project has begun and as part of this project our engineer, Associated Engineering (AE), will be completing GPS survey and data gathering within the community starting on or after September 23, weather permitting.  AE will have staff driving and walking along our roads and they ask the public’s assistance and understanding with traffic accommodation and working safely. They will be taking photographs to assist with their analysis.  They also require access to homeowner’s lots to locate and survey their sewage holding tanks and this message is to serve notice of this requirement.  If any homeowner objects to this or requires alternate arrangements, please contact the administrator at [email protected]. Please note that without this information the design of your on-lot sewer service that is included with the grant funding will not be possible.   Even if you are not sure you wish to participate in the project, completing this step will ensure you have the option to participate should you in the end choose to.

Once the survey process has been completed council will host a next steps meeting and provide written communication.

If you have concerns with associated Engineering accessing your lot during this phase, please contact the office no later than 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept 18
