Public Notice is hereby given that nomination of candidates for the office of:
COUNCILLOR– Resort Village of Shields
Number to be elected – 1
Will be received by the undersigned during regular business hours (1:00 pm – 4:00 pm), Monday to Friday, on:
January 23, 2023, to February 3, 2023; and from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on February 4, 2023 at the Resort Village of Shields Office, 8 Procter Drive, Shields, SK.
Nomination forms available at the Resort Village of Shields Office.
Who Can Run:
Persons eligible for nomination as a candidate in the elections must:
- be at least 18 years old on Election Day
- be a Canadian citizen
- have resided in the Resort Village of Shields for at least three (3) consecutive months immediately preceding the date nomination paper is submitted; and have resided in Saskatchewan for at least six (6) consecutive months immediately preceding the date nomination paper is submitted.
- nomination papers must be signed by five (5) voters of the Resort Village of Shields.
Who Can Vote:
Eligible voter must be:
- at least 18 years old of Election Day
- a Canadian Citizen
- a resident of Saskatchewan for at least six (6) consecutive months immediately preceding election day; and
- either:
- a) a resident of the Resort Village of Shields for at least three (3) consecutive months immediately preceding the day of the election; or
- b) an owner of assessable land in the Resort Village of Shields for a least three (3) consecutive months immediately preceding the day of the election
Election Day is Saturday, March 11, 2023, 9:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Shields Community Hall, 8 Procter Drive, Shields, SK.
Advance Poll is Friday, February 24, 2023, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Shields Community Hall, 8 Procter Drive, Shields, SK.
