The Resort Village of Shields has an immediate employment opportunity for a Golf Course Assistant.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this part time position includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Mows, trims, grooms, fertilizes, repairs, and irrigates course greens, adjacent aprons, trees, and shrubs;
- Maintains and repairs signage, tee off boxes, cart and walking paths, benches, bridges, irrigation equipment, and course buildings and equipment for safe operation and use by patrons, volunteers, and staff;
- Maintains inventory of score cards, pay envelopes, and pencils. Empties garbage cans and ensure ball washers are operational;
- Maintains the equipment including greens mower, garden tractor, mobile equipment, and fertilizer handling equipment at safe operational levels on a daily basis;
- Daily cleans and replenishes supplies in the Community Center public washrooms and the Golf Course porta-potty;
