There was an incident in the village where a vehicle drove past the bus while the stop arm was extended and a child was exiting the bus. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but this is a reminder to all community members that it is illegal to pass a bus from either direction while the stop arm is extended.
Please ensure that you are always driving with caution, especially when pedestrians are present, and adhere to all laws of the road. As a reminder if traffic violations are taking place, please call the RCMP, as the village office does not have authority to enforce these laws.
